Day 35: Cheerful Giver, Part 3
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. - 2 Corinthians 9:6-8
In chapter nine of the second letter to the Corinthians we find a rule, an attitude and an outcome in relationship to giving. The rule – you get to determine the return on your giving. The attitude – hilarious giving is what God loves. The outcome – God will take care of you abundantly in response to generous giving.
Today we look at the outcome – God will take care of you abundantly in response to generous giving. We cannot out give God. When we plant extravagant seeds of generosity into the church and the lives of those around us, God promises that we will reap extravagantly. In fact the return will be so great that our needs will be met with enough leftovers to give more the next time around.
Continue to thank God for being your provider. Tell him that you know that he is your source for everything in life.
Continue to work your list of giving opportunities.
